Bhutanese Knitting Cooperative Launch
My sister has been involved with some textile work in India and Tibet over the past couple of years, and we’ve been throwing around the idea of developing a similar project here with the bhutanese refugees of kck.
We invited a few bhutanese women over for some knitting “training” to see what type of experience and skills they had, and I must say, it was quite comical…mostly because they were already quite good (which we all kind of suspected), but also because over 30 bhutanese women showed up. It sounds like more are coming next Saturday.

Bhutanese Outreach Launch
The Bhutanese Outreach launched just hours ago. It was a great night!
We had the Bhutanese Adult English class filled with over 20 students and about the same number of kids across the hall at Kids’ Club.
