One of my favorite things about working at Mission Adelante is that I get to help connect my North American friends from our surrounding church partners with my Nepali speaking Bhutanese friends here in KCK and what happens is that the “stranger in our midst” quickly becomes the friend in our community.
The love of Jesus is unending and powerful…it crosses cultures and languages…

My sister has been involved with some textile work in India and Tibet over the past couple of years, and we’ve been throwing around the idea of developing a similar project here with the bhutanese refugees of kck.
We invited a few bhutanese women over for some knitting “training” to see what type of experience and skills they had…
